Procedure	Chickens were immunized with purified beta-galactosidase from Escherichia coli. After multiple immunizations in Freunds adjuvant, eggs were collected and delipidated. Antibodies were solid phase absorbed then immunoaffinity purified using purified beta-galactosidase immobilized on a solid phase. The anti-beta galactosidase concentration was determined by extinction coefficient : O.D. 1.32 at 280nM equals 1.0 mg
Specification	Recommended starting dilution of anti-beta galactosidase for IF is 0.5 ug/ml. Less than 1% reactivity with E. Coli.
